DJ of 69 – Deep, Organic & Afro House

I’m DJ of 69, a German DJ with more than four decades behind the decks. I played my first DJ set in 1984 and have been passionate about electronic music ever since.

My sound is deeply inspired by Ibiza, blending Deep House, Organic House, Afro House, Progressive House and Balearic sounds. I prefer a smooth, flowing journey rather than simply moving from track to track – warm grooves, atmospheric melodies and carefully selected music, usually around my signature 117 BPM.

Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to play at different locations in Ibiza, including Hush, Destino Pacha poolside, Playa Sol Mare Nostrum, New Algarbe and Jabeque, as well as live sessions from the Café Mambo Studio. My connection with the island and its musical atmosphere has become an important part of my sound.

I’m also the creator of AbSoulute Beach, my long-running weekly DJ mix series. Every set is handpicked and mixed live in one take. The show has been broadcast by radio stations around the world, and my mixes have reached the top of the Beatport DJ Mix Charts, including several No. 1 positions.

For me, DJing is still about discovering music, creating an atmosphere and taking people on a journey. After more than 40 years, that feeling behind the decks hasn’t changed.
